Facebook ad campaign

I guess the problem any debut author faces is how do you get your book known to potential readers so they can decide if they want to read it or not?

There is the obvious route of friends and family spreading the word. Depending on the size of your social circle, this might be enough to get things started. Personally, I’ve never been a big user of social media, so I have the grand total of eight friends on Facebook. While I’m sure that they will spread the word, it might not be enough to gain momentum.

Over the last two weeks, I’ve been running an ad campaign on Facebook, trying to encourage people to follow my Facebook page. I can report that I now have 157 followers (at last count). This might not seem like a big number, but it is better than eight. Hopefully, some of them will read of Stigma, and spread the word.

The plan at this time is to announce the book when it is ready on my page, and see what happens. I’m going to link to this site, so I can use Google Analytics to see the amount of traffic it gets.

Then potentially at the end of April I might do another ad campaign to encourage people to visit this site, and click one of the store links to buy the book.
